Fay Roy Meadows, 90 of the Long Point Community, Maysville, died July 27, 2012 at Carolina East Medical Center, New Bern, NC. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Davis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Long Point Community, Maysville, NC. Reverend Fred Manly officiating.
Burial will follow at the Meadows Family Cemetery.
He was employed at the Naval Hospital, Camp Lejeune, NC for 28 years.
Survivors include, his wife, Ellen Meadows of the home, daughters, Mary Sinclair, Fayetteville, NC Faye Hill, Maysville, NC, and Janice Jones, Jacksonville, NC; sons, Joseph Purvis, Peeksgill, NY, James R. Meadows, and Gerald Meadows, both of Fayetteville, NC, Abrom Meadows, Oak Grove, KY; sisters, Ida Jones, Virginia Jones, Ester Hill, Joyce Hill and Daphane Jones, all of Maysville, NC, Nellie Hunter, Hubert, NC, Carrie Hill, and Alice Harper, both of Stella, NC and Pearlie Meadows, Trenton, NC; brother, Jonathan Meadows, Maysville, NC. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service at Davis Chapel M.B. Church.
Family and friends visitation, one hour prior to the service at Davis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Maysville, NC.
